Sogon Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 24, 2026 (previous version: October 19, 2026)
Sogon (“the app”) measures how loud the sound around a baby is (dB). The app does not collect personal information and sends nothing to anyone, including the developer. Only in-app purchases are handled by Apple. The Korean version is the original; this is a translation.
1. Information we collect
None. There is no sign-up or login, and there is no server.
2. Microphone use
The app uses the device microphone to calculate sound level (dB).
Sound is never recorded or saved to a file. Microphone input is turned into level numbers in memory on your device and discarded right away.
The microphone is on only after you start a measurement and turns off when you stop it.
3. What is stored on your device
The following stays only on your device and is not sent to anyone, including the developer.
- Measurement records: Time, sound level (average and maximum dB), and duration
- Placement you enter: Distance to the white noise machine and volume step
- Calibration: The value you saved after comparing with a reference sound meter
- Sogon Plus: Whether you bought it, and which features you have tried for free
4. Retention and deletion
Stored information stays on your device until you delete it.
You can delete records one by one by long-pressing them in the Records tab.
Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on your device.
5. Sharing and outsourcing
None. The app contains no advertising, analytics, or third-party login.
In-app purchases (Sogon Plus) are handled by Apple. The developer receives no payment or Apple account information; ownership is checked with Apple directly from your device.
6. Children
The app is used by parents and caregivers, and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the change and its effective date on this page.
